Yellow Submarine, Sweet Times in the Rockies Cake Show -2/14/14 - YES! I LOVE the Yellow Submarine! This was my second entry for the Sweet Times in the rockies Cake Show here in Denver. This cake was in the normal Divisions, so I could choose anything I wanted! The Sub is cake on a custom board, with modeling chocolate and lots of Yellow fondant! Beatles are hand-molded out of modeling chocolate and gumpaste. The drum front is and-painted onto rice paper, on the front of a solid chocolate drum. Still to see if this cutie places...such fun to make! She placed 1st, and also won Best in Division! Thanks everybody who helped with the show xxoo!!
Work In Progress -
This was a competition piece, which means that there were specific rules to follow. One was that the entire piece had to be carved from actual cake. No dummies are allowed, in the sculpted category. Photo evidence is required to prove this to the judges beyond a doubt. Here are a few of those in-progress photos I took of my process. Yes, it IS CAKE!

Or, just Buy Me A Coffee
This one project took me over 40 hours to bring to you here, today, first conceived, designed and sculpted in reality, then filmed, edited, finally uploaded, served up as a Slice. If you have read this far, it is my hope that you have enjoyed your time here. I know it seems everyone has their hands out for money, but perhaps consider it Fair Return, for Value Given in advance. Know every dollar builds the rainbow energy and gratitude I harness in Creating Art <3 |
