"Pppppfffffttttt...... To Thanos, With Love, From Deadpool"- WOW! Here we are, celebrating another year of this amazing collaboration. This collab has inspired me to make Groot&Rocket, Spidey&Hulk are Friends, and of course, The Tick! This year all of the Artists involved decided to choose a favorite Comic Book Cover to bring to life in Sugar.
I chose this one, "Thanos Rising", by cover artist Carlo Barberi. I loved this cover so much - my favorite villain to despise, SO serious Thanos, and my favorite hero, crazy, irreverent, nasty bad-ass Deadpool. I love the message here - LAUGH at evil, cruelty, and sternness. Crack it open, with a whoopie cushion, on its own throne! The fact that "Avengers Endgame" came out scant days before the collab release feels like a kiss from the Universe.
This was my first 2-d cake, exercised whole new parts of my Artists Brain. With Love and (pppfffttt!) Kisses, made from Magic Colours yummy hues and Caljava's awesome gumpaste.
