Happy Birthday! I give you "Spinosaurus aegyptiacus", made for an awesome kiddo for his 9th birthday!! This was my first Icing Smiles, Inc. cake, and it was such a great experience. The Birthday Boy is a "Dinophile", and so am I! Spino is his favorite, and I had such fun making and researching this critter, who hunted along shorelines for rays, large fish, and sharks!! Yum! I took inspiration from Mother Nature on the wire structure for this cake, balancing the head and tail over a strong set of legs. This cake rode an hour to the destination over country roads with washerboard ruts, no problem. Look for a Journeybook on this cake soon (OUT now, scroll down for a link). This shark is made from modeling chocolate, Chocolate cake fill Spino's back and the rock under his foot. Happy Birthday Mr. D!!
