SPELLWEAVER KNOTWORKS

Spellweaver Designs are a whole series of designs that resulted from a fascination with Celtic Knots. It started with traditional methods that evolved into a new style of overlapping continuous bands that weave entire graphic tapestries. Each of the ribbons in these woven pieces is like a very long rubber band - no ends, just a big squiggly circle. Each design is composed of many such bands woven over-under one another, like a large tapestry. 

And, like a tapestry, each thread weaves part of the larger design, each ending exactly where it began. 
Coloring one in combines the fun of a coloring book, the puzzle of a maze, and the composition of a paint-by-number. All these pieces were drawn by hand between 1995 and 2000. Now the Digital Age has seen them renewed and made ready to entertain another generation of Colorists!
