We get Why Cake is Special. Why, if Cake is Food Art Sensation Squared, why Sculpted Cakes are Food Art Sensation Cubed. 

I've often had to tell the Story. WHY oh WHY Heather?? It's SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I could **never**...

Let me tell you a Tale of Your Cake. See, you are complicit. An accomplice of the highest order. And together, we are going to Inflict Sensation of the Highest, Most Memorable, Unforgettably Sweet level that there is upon our Subject, your Loved One, 
(or yourself?) at their Special Event. 

This is where folks looks at me and say Huh??? 

Let me paint you a picture. We have been colluding for months. You wrote me, told me your Story, why this Event is worthy of such remembrance. Together, we have created a design that is not only custom, not only 'what they like' but is a physical sculpture 
that tells a story, about them. The Story of Them, celebrated in Cake that involves all who care to partake, in multiple levels. 

I sketch, you OOO AAAH, get excited, I make. Well, it isn't QUITE that simple, 

Let me interject really quick, in that My behind-the-scenes is just as crazy and nut ball energy as any rock star backstage 
before the Big Show. But then The Big Day Arrives! We have your Cake Sculpture set up prominently, as befits its position as The Story Teller and Driver. Your Guests come in, they greet, hug, congratulate. You say oh, be sure to check out the Cake. 
Cake? They Say. What Cake? THATS a CAKE?? And so the Fun Begins...Oh no way. This is I have to see. OMG that's SO COOL. and look, its Fido, right there! Oh, I gotta get a photo. Hey Special Host, lets take a photo in front of the Cake! OMG Hashtag, Post, Share! Hey, did you see the CAKE? What Cake? That's a CAKE?? NO WAY.So on, so forth, allllll event long. 

The Cake becomes a conversation starter and driver, a focal point and generator for literal Buzz Energy. Corporate entities are realizing that the online reach of a fascinating sculpted cake is worth several times more than the mere price of the cake itself.

Finally, the big moment comes!!! Everybody is excited, the Host is ready to say their toasts, the Party Finale has Come. Everyone gathers for the show, it's time to Cut the Cake. I've found a sculpted Cake can bring out the Showman in just about anyone. I've seen mild mannered grannies turn She-Ra and Chop off The Head, battle-wailing as her guests cheered I've seen brides leak tears and crusty WWII Vets crack genuine child-smiles. I have witnessed actual rockstars, who gift millions with intense sensation, 
visibly get off artistically on the intense Gift that is a custom sculpted Cake.

So, back to your Cake. The Knife is held high, and.....The Cake is CUT!!! Instantly, every guest is automatically, passively a complicit accomplice in the Destruction. Oh the horrid and delicious sensations!! The keening guilt of Destruction, salty alongside the incredibly sweet pleasure of knowing it was made JUST for this moment. The before-secret now-seen satisfaction
of simple and sheer destruction, monkey-like, comforted by the cerebral reassurance that it was Just a Cake, ephemeral, 
unavioidably crumbing and decomposing? Enjoyable only in the NOW, and if not relished Lost Entirely? Perhaps symbolic of Scarcity Mindset, and Poverty brought about by trying to hold onto the Good Stuff instead of accepting the Gift and NOSHING down hard in the Now?? Cake Held onto is not Saved, it is Stale.

I always joke that You Must Cut it, or else the Ants will Come, and that then they will be the only ones to Taste it Fully.

As the Cake is Served out, everyone gets fed once again, this time with lips, tongue, and teeth, and the taste seals in the 
deliciousness of the Moment. Unforgettable. Tears are shed. Oooohs and Aaaahs are common. Cheers happen regularly. 
Nearly everybody wants to taste it, even those who don't like cake and all want to know how it was done. 

Indeed, the group act of Destruction of something undeniably special, and then Consumption of it is indeed PART OF THE ART being created. Congrats! By being there, by Feeling, Enjoying, Destroying, Eating, and by being Nourished Forever in your Memory, you have participated in a Larger Creation that reaches far far further than mere dessert or single event. 

Cool, huh?

And let's be real for a second. How many photos were taken of that piece of Edible Custom Art?? I personally take high quality photos of everything. If anything, the ephemeral nature of this type of Art makes it even more likely to be captured and rendered digitally, i.e. Forever. The Art has transmuted, from the Energy between us, first together pulling it out of the ether of Creation. 
Then, my skill at materialization pulls our vision into actual physical Reality, from raw materials and technique, 
as is the delicious duty of Magician and Artists everywhere. You and your guests then multiply and amplify that expanded Juice, 
it grows until you pop it, Cut the Cake, and share all the Yummy Zing, deep down, where it sits and glows for years. Some of that energy can't help but seep over into Photographic form, like a fossil, a hard physical remnant of an organic creation. 

I've had people talk to me about cakes I made ten years ago, every single time I see them. They don't go away after you eat them!! My oh-so-teenaged teenager still brags about the Rainbow Pegacorn Mama Cake made for her 7th Birthday, shes now 16. How many teenagers do you know who brag about their 7th birthday cake?? And, we just made her another one this year, a Ball Python in a Rainbow Pegacorn costume. Sculpted Cake becomes a way to make everyday life so special.

The excitement I have witnessed Cake Sculpture bring  is a unique treasure. Cake is applying the Magic of Science to the sensory miracle that is already Food. Adding further Magic (Art) to Cake elevates it even further, possibilities and effect squared. 
Adding more Magic (sculpture, thought, time, effort, skill) takes the Experience Potential through the roof, past the palate into the brain pan, where it lasts forever, oozing sweet feelings into the brain jelly whenever recalled. Really quite remarkable. And a very powerful feeling, to be able to give this sensation to people, to force irresistible beauty and participation in Art on your guests and loved ones in a way that they ADORE, and literally line up to eat. And NO ONE forgets the Cake. NO ONE. This feeling of multi layered giving that extends through time and space is one that I love, and one that I love to Share. 

This is why I make my Journals. To not just Show You How To Do It, but to walk you through How I Did It. My real goal is to imbue you with the confidence to PLAY, and give your own Family this gift. I can't bring a cake to everyone as much as I would like to
But YOU ALL CAN. It's a heady power!! But it is real, and oh so very delicious.
