Aspen Fairy Owl Rider - 9/8/18 - Some Sculptures are just sheer fun. I was asked to participate in a display for the local Sugar Art competition, Sweet Times in the Rockies, based on the show's fantasy theme. Ive been wanting to do a fairy on an owl for some time now - I LOVE owls. We have a tribe of Great Horned Owls that live nearby, and hoot to each other in the evening and early dawn. This work is made from Caljava Fondx gumpaste, and her wings are crafted from laminated rice paper. The entire Artwork is airbrushed with Magic Colors Airbrush colors. Her skirts have been dusted with Magic Colors Dusts, and her wings have their green, red, and turquoise Metallic Paints. This piece was Major fun, I hope everyone at the show enjoys them!! XO Heather
